DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT

"At the time of writing this I am a 20-year-old filmmaker brought up in a generation raised on screens. I was spoiled with films, different perspectives, stories and the idea that anything is possible. Growing up in a Japanese household, I was exposed to a lot of Asian cinema and I wanted to make something like the Hong Kong, Korean and Japanese Action Cinema that I had grown up with while delivering a story that I feel resonates with my generation, something we see so little of these days.

Living in a time where filmmaking has never been more accessible, I spent some time putting together a script, saved up to buy a cheap camera and set out to make a feature film with a mostly crowdfunded $3000 with friends volunteering to be both cast and crew. Following this was a gruelling 23 months of filming and editing with any money we could put together, during whatever time we could find between university and work. What came out of it in the end was a feature action film telling a story made for our generation, something that we are all so proud of and can't wait to show to the world."
